We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant at an outstanding rated primary school in Swinton, Salford. Easily accessible by bus, train or tram.

SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Two form entry primary school in Swinton, Salford.
  • Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
  • Long term, could go perm eventually.
  • Starting ASAP in February.
  • £90-105/day DOE.
  • Paid PAYE via Now Education.
  • Equal pay perm staff from 13th week onwards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide floating support across different classes for young people with SEN.
  • Most pupils have Autism which involves sensory, communication, learning, social, emotional & behavioural needs.
  • Collaborate with teacher to help deliver activities and keep children focused.
  • Contribute to an safe, fun & inclusive environment that encourages the student’s social and academic growth.
  • Offer 1 to 1 support to pupils as & when required. This could be academic interventions or pastoral support.

  • Proof of Right to Work & Address in the UK.
  • A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • At least 2 professional references.
  • Evidence of previous experience supporting primary aged children.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic and hard-working approach.
