We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant at highly respected primary school in Swinton, Salford.
Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
- Two form entry primary school in Swinton, Salford.
- Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
- Starting ASAP.
- Long term, expected to last until at least Summer 2025,
- Could go perm eventually for the right person.
- £90-110/day DOE.
- Paid PAYE via Now Education.
- Equal pay to perm staff from 13th week onwards.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide 1:1 & small group support to pupils with Autism & Learning Difficulties across the school.
- There will be learning, social & emotional, physical, sensory and communication needs so you will need to be adaptable and able to change your approach to each pupil.
- Use positive reinforcement & behaviour management techniques.
- Contribute to an safe, fun & inclusive classroom environment.
- Work with the class teacher, SENCO, SLT, parents and outside professionals.
- Report on behaviours, incidents and disclosures to the DSL.

What We Need from You:
- Up to date CV with a full education and work history.
- Proof of Right to Work & Address in the UK.
- A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- At least 2 professional references.
- Overseas Police Check if applicable.
- Previous experience supporting primary aged children.
- A proactive, empathetic and hard-working approach is a must!
