The school are seeking a passionate and dedicated Male Physical Education Teacher to join their team and contribute to the holistic development of their students.

The role will start in January 2024 and continue until the end of the academic year and beyond.

There is the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

As a PE Teacher you will play a key role in inspiring and motivating students to develop a lifelong love for physical activity and sports.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging PE lessons to students at various levels (including GCSE), fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will also contribute to extracurricular activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to support students’ progress.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular sports and physical activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive school culture.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree in Physical Education.
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment procedures.
  • Enthusiasm for promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students through creative teaching methods.

Desirable:

  • Additional coaching qualifications.
  • Experience organizing and leading sports events.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in physical education.
