Now Education is proud to be working in partnership with a leading FE college in Manchester to recruit a passionate and experienced Learning Coach (Engineering) for a permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity to support and mentor apprentices and learners on Engineering apprenticeship programmes, guiding them toward successful careers in the sector.
About the Role:
As a Learning Coach – Engineering, you will:
- Deliver high-quality coaching, mentoring, and teaching in both classroom and workshop settings
- Support Engineering apprentices with knowledge delivery, skill development, and preparation for End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Embed core competencies, including Maths, English, and ICT, where required
- Conduct mock assessments, deliver progress reviews, and track learner progress using OneFile
- Work closely with employers and internal teams to align on learner needs and goals
- Help learners achieve their potential and reach their highest possible EPA grade
What You’ll Need:
Essential:
- A relevant Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above
- Teaching qualification (CertEd, CTLLS, DTLLS or equivalent)
- Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and ICT – or willingness to achieve
- Recent experience in an engineering environment and/or teaching apprentices
- Ability to deliver engaging and interactive coaching and instruction in both workshop and classroom settings
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Confidence in using digital learning platforms (e.g. OneFile)
Desirable:
- Assessor qualifications (TAQA, A1, D32/33)
- Coaching qualification
- Experience with government-funded apprenticeship programmes
