Early Years Teaching Assistant – Liverpool

A warm and welcoming primary school in Bootle, Liverpool, is looking for a passionate and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team from mid-end January 2025. This role involves supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team in delivering high-quality education to young children. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide classroom support and any additional support where required.

About the Role:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Term-time only
  • Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (approx.)
  • Supporting Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • £85 – £110 per day
  • Location: Liverpool, Bootle

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons to EYFS children.
  • Support children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Help with the development of children’s social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Supporting with phonics.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational or early years setting.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a UK Enhanced DBS certificate.
