We are seeking an SEND Specialist to join our team in supporting students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream secondary schools . The ideal candidate will have experience working with challenging children, particularly young adults, and possess a passion for special education and helping those with ADHD/Autism/Behaviour Disorders.
This a full time role working in a SEN School based in Derby City working with students aged between 11-16 year olds with an immediate start.
Travelling between a couple of sites is a requirement for this role, any potential candidates MUST drive and have or be open to getting car business insurance.
Responsibilities:
– Work closely with challenging individuals to provide tailored care and support
– Develop and implement educational programmes to meet the specific needs of each individual
– Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and other professionals involved in the care of individuals
– Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
– Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to ensure optimal development
Qualifications:
– Experience working with challenging individuals, particularly children
– Special education background or relevant qualifications
– Ability to educate and engage individuals with autism effectively
– Strong communication skills to collaborate with families and other professionals
– Compassionate and patient approach to supporting individuals
