Now Education are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive mainstream primary school in the South Liverpool area (L18). This exciting opportunity is for a full-time, long-term cover position, providing essential support to our KS2 curriculum and contributing to the development of our Year 5 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering the KS2 curriculum, ensuring that all students receive the best possible learning experience.
- Run group sessions and interventions to support students who may need extra help with specific areas of their learning.
- Provide additional support to students with varying needs, ensuring their engagement and progress in class.
- Help to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with the class teacher to assess student progress and adapt support accordingly.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly within Key Stage 2 (KS2).
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum, with a particular focus on Year 5.
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting students’ learning and development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in children’s lives
