We are seeking a resilient and experienced Primary Teaching Assistants to join our Alternative Provision team in High Peak. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting pupils with complex social, emotional, and behavioural needs, both on-site and in the wider community.
You will work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and in off-site settings such as pupils’ homes, libraries, or cafés. Your support will be key to helping them re-engage with education in a safe, nurturing, and adaptable learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support in school and in the community
- Deliver learning and behaviour strategies 1:1 and in small groups
- Help pupils regulate emotions and develop positive relationships
- Build strong working relationships with staff, families, and external agencies
Essential Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant qualification.
- Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- Very high resilience, patience, and adaptability
- Ability to work independently and think on your feet
- You must have a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance
- Strong behaviour management, communication, patience and resilience.
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting young learners with Special Educational Needs.
