NOW Education are currently recruiting for a qualified Science Teacher to join our schools popular Science Department of our large Secondary Academy in Enfield.
The School/Department:
The department currently has thirteen Teachers representing all 3 subject disciplines. This is run by the Head of Science who is supported by subject Heads of Biology, Chemistry and Physics including a KS3 Coordinator. The department is very well resourced with experienced Technicians and TAs on hand to support.
There are 6 generously sized labs, 2 prep rooms, a staff work-base and 2 classrooms all housed in its own standalone building!
The school is part-of a Trust that has established a national reputation for excellent in teaching and learning. The school is high achieving continually progressing year on year. They pride their selves on creating ‘effective learners’ and are considered top 100 schools nationally!
The role:
You would teach Science at KS3 and KS4. The school is seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic teacher who will fit in well with the school, and who will be dedicated to helping its students achieve success; potential is more important than length of experience.
This role is full-time to start asap until the end of the Academic Year with the view to go permanent. Salary is in the region of £34,514 – £51,179. Excellent transport links and on-site parking.
Requirements:

- QTS
- Science based Degree
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
