NOW Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and committed Teacher of Design Technology to work in the thriving DT Department of a new Secondary Academy all though school in North London.
The School:
Currently the department has 2 GCSE classes & over 25 A-Level students. The Academy has 3 well-resourced workshop spaces for practicals as well as access to ICT suites as required, integrating digital technology where possible. Although all pupils have their own I-pads or laptops.
The school is part-of a Trust that has established a national reputation for excellent in teaching and learning. The school is high achieving continually progressing year on year. They pride their selves on creating ‘effective learners’ and are considered top 100 schools nationally!
The role:
You would teach Design Technology at KS3 and KS4. The school is seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic teacher who will fit in well with the school, and who will be dedicated to helping its students achieve success; potential is more important than length of experience.
This role is full-time to start asap until the end of the Academic Year with the view to go permanent. Salary is in the region of £34,514 – £51,179.
Requirements:
To join us and be successful in this Techer of Design Technology role you will need to provide the following:
- QTS
- Product Design & Food Tech experience desirable
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
