Now Education in Manchester are recruiting for Primary Special Needs Teacher for a outstanding primary school in Salford that has a separate unit for children with EHCP’s for Special Needs including Autism and SEMH.

Role: Primary Special Needs Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Salford with an SEN unit.

Start: ASAP.

Contract: full time & long term.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.

Pay: Up to £220/day DOE – paid PAYE direct via Now Education.

Equal pay to perm staff in same role from 13th week onwards.

Easily accessible by bus, tram, train or car, with on-site parking.

Key Responsibilities:

Pupils are mixed by needs & levels rather than by age.
Class sizes of no more than 10 pupils with a range of needs including Autism & Learning Needs.
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported and motivated to learn.
Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
Differentiate your approach to each individual in the class.
Work closely with the SEN Teaching Assistants in your class to provide a holistic, safe and engaging learning environment.
Assess and monitor the progress of students, providing feedback to pupils and parents.
Ensure the emotional well-being and academic development of pupils in your care.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a productive and respectful learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold UK QTS or equivalent.
ECT’s with SEN specialism and Overseas Teachers with equivalent qualification & relevant experience will also be considered.
Be able to differentiate and meet individual needs, levels & interests.
Be a team player with excellent communication skills.
Have the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues and outside professionals.
Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently.
Have proven experience in one of the following roles: SEN Teacher, Primary Special Needs Teacher, SEND Teacher, Primary Teacher, Early Years Teacher, EYFS Teacher, KS1 Teacher, KS2 Teacher, Autism Teacher, SEMH Teacher or PRU Teacher.

Proof of Right to Work & Address in the UK.
A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
At least 2 professional references.
Evidence of previous primary teaching experience.
A proactive, enthusiastic and hard-working approach.
