SEN Teaching Assistant – Manchester

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide one to one support to a Year 4 pupil with additional learning needs. As part of the supportive and inclusive school community, you will play a vital role in ensuring this child has the tools and guidance they need to achieve their best.
About the Role:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (term time only)
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Competitive salary, based on experience.
- Start date: February 2025 (subject to availability)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to the child in both academic and social contexts.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with the class Teacher, SENCO and other staff to track progress and adjust strategies where necessary.
- Monitor the child’s emotional and social development, offering appropriate guidance.
- Encourage independence and help build the child’s self-esteem and resilience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting is essential.
- Experience with SEN is beneficial but not required.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a UK Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Valid UK Right to Work documents (e.g. UK passport, working visa, etc.)
