We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant at a special needs primary school in the Trafford area. You’ll be working closely with a 10-year-old student with Autism and emotional needs, helping them navigate their educational journey.
Role:
SEN Teaching Assistant at a dedicated special needs primary school in Trafford.
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract: Long-term, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm.
- Pay: £90–100/day (DOE) – paid directly via Now Education PAYE (no umbrella companies!).
What You’ll Do:
- Provide one-on-one support to an 11-year-old student with Autism, assisting them in their daily school activities.
- Implement tailored strategies to manage and positively influence challenging behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create and follow individualized learning plans.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages the student’s social and academic growth.
- Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required.
- Encourage independence and self-confidence in the student, preparing them for future transitions.

What We Need from You:
- A detailed CV outlining your education and work history.
- Proof of Right to Work & Address in the UK.
- A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- At least 2 professional references.
- Experience working with children with Autism and challenging behaviours is preferred.
