Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4,including GCSE level.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to inspire a love for science in all students.
- Support and contribute to the school’s Catholic ethos, fostering a respectful and compassionate classroom environment.
- Utilize a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science curriculum.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in a relevant science discipline.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
