Now Education are working in partnership with a Catholic Secondary School in Skelmersdale who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their vibrant and inclusive educational community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4,including GCSE level.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to inspire a love for science in all students.
  • Support and contribute to the school’s Catholic ethos, fostering a respectful and compassionate classroom environment.
  • Utilize a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science curriculum.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in a relevant science discipline.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
