Now Education are working in partnership with a Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester who require a Learning Mentor from the 16th June until the end of the academic year.
The role is Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm, working with young people who have a range of SEND such as Complex and Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, Mental Health Issues, Autism, Dyslexia and ADHD.
The PRU provides a nurturing, inclusive and structured environment for students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. The focus is firmly on re-engaging students through positive relationships, tailored support, and high expectations.
About the Role:
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in building trust with students, supporting their emotional wellbeing, and helping them re-engage with learning. Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and families, you will:

Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions.

Support pupils to develop positive behaviour, self-esteem and resilience.

Help students manage transitions and reintegration into education or training.

Monitor progress and contribute to individual support plans.

Act as a positive role model and advocate for our students.
