We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Eccles, Salford. You’ll be supporting primary-aged children with Autism, helping them thrive in their learning and development.

The Role of Special Needs Teaching Assistant:

  • Special Needs Teaching Assistant at primary in Eccles, Salford, supporting children with Autism
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract: Long-term, with the chance to go permanent.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm.
  • Pay: £90–100 per day (DOE), paid directly through Now Education – no umbrella companies!
  • Equal pay to perm staff from 13th onwards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to primary-aged pupils with Autism and learning needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of additional activities and tasks.
  • Provide interventions in communication and numeracy & literacy when required.
  • Build strong relationships to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Help children develop social skills, emotional resilience, and confidence.
  • Work closely with teachers, families, and external professionals to ensure pupils get the tailored support they need.
  • Encourage independence and celebrate every child’s achievements, no matter how small.

What We’re Looking For:
