This is a role for a Primary Teaching Assistant at a lovely & welcoming primary school in central Manchester. Easily accessible by bus or train.

Primary Teaching Assistant

  • Primary school in central Manchester.
  • Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
  • Long term, could go perm eventually.
  • Starting ASAP in February.
  • £90-100/day DOE.
  • Paid PAYE via Now Education.
  • Equal pay perm staff from 13th week onwards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Teaching Assistant group support in Key Stage 1.
  • Give additional support to children and  young people who may have learning, behaviour or emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with teacher to help deliver activities and keep children focused.
  • Contribute to an safe, fun & inclusive environment that encourages the student’s social and academic growth.
  • Offer 1 to 1 support to pupils as & when required. This could be academic interventions in numeracy & literacy or pastoral support.

What We Need from You:

  • A detailed CV outlining your education and work history.
  • Proof of Right to Work & Address in the UK.
  • A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • At least 2 professional references.
  • Evidence of previous experience supporting primary aged children.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic and hard-working approach.
