Now Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a supportive and energetic primary school in Erdington with a fantastic reputation. They are looking for a passionate Year 2 Teaching Assistant to work across the classroom with a pro-active, enthusiastic and engaging approach. The role will start November 2023 and will be for the full- academic year. The ideal candidate will have KS1 and KS2 experience and have a depth of knowledge with phonics. However, the school will consider those with other specialists and backgrounds if they are the right person for the role.
The role will be classroom based, however; you may run targeted interventions supporting students in a small group basis as well as 1:1 with specific subjects such as literacy and numeracy. You may lead sessions in writing and spelling and assist the teacher in planning/carrying out activities for the pupils and also help in preparation and organisation or the classroom resources.
The school are looking for:
- Somebody with a passion of working with children
- Experience of working in a primary school
- Have the ability to engage with children and help build positive relationships
- Be able to manage any challenging behaviour in a consistent manner
- Level 2 qualification for a Teaching Assistant
