P.E. Teaching Assistant

Now Education is currently working with an incredible and inspiring academy in Hackney seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support secondary age pupils in their P.E. lessons.
The role is to start ASAP and is full-time, five days per week, term time only until the end of the academic year with the view to go permanent for the right candidate. The daily rate of pay is £85 – £110 per day with. There is onsite parking and excellent transport links.
The school is a very large outstanding Secondary Academy based in Hackney split over 2 sites. The school is well known for its high level of support it provides to its pupils. High achieving with high expectations of its staff. They put many of their support staff through their teacher training.

What are they looking for in a P.E. Teaching Assistant?
They are looking for someone who has experience supporting PE in schools previously We are looking for a passionate and energetic TA with a clear sports background who is confident that they can assist students that require extra support. You may be required to support a mild element of SEN such as behaviour or social & emotional needs so a good element of empathy and rapport building is required as well as excellent communication skills.
To join us and be successful in this P.E. Teaching Assistant role you will need to provide the following:
- Essential that you have P.E. based qualifications Level 3 and above
- Essential that you have experience in a similar role
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
