Now Education are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in Central Liverpool. The school is an outstanding alternative provision with high expectations of both its staff and pupils.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated learning support assistant who can support students aged 11- 16.
The students have additional needs including autism and behavioural issues.
We are seeking a passionate individual who want the opportunity to progress in this field and is dedicated to committing on a long-term basis. Experience of working with individuals with these needs is essential.
To be considered for the position you must have;
Experience supporting young people with Autism, ADHD and/or challenging behaviour
Experience working with young people with additional and challenging needs
Be comfortable working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, providing motivation and support to engage with sessions
Have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students.
A valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
Be willing to undertake Team Teach Training and other training as necessary for the role.
The school are seeking to make permanent appointments following a 12 week probationary period.
