Student Online Learning Coordinator

Now Education are delighted to be working in partnership with West Lancashire College in Skelmersdale who require a Committed Student Online Learning Coordinator.

The role is to start asap working long term and full time until at least the end of academic year, Monday – Friday 8.30am-16.00pm.

As an Online Learning Customer Experience Coordinator, you will play a vital role in shaping and maintaining a high-quality online learning experience. You will work closely with the Head of Online Learning, Online Learning Manager, and key stakeholders to develop processes, track learner progress, and enhance student engagement. Your leadership in managing a team and overseeing administrative functions will ensure learners receive the best possible support throughout their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective systems to support learners from induction to progression.
  • Manage data tracking systems to monitor learner activity and report on performance.
  • Maintain accurate and GDPR-compliant records for reporting and auditing purposes.
  • Coordinate the work of the Online Learning Data Administrators to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for online learners, addressing their needs and directing them to appropriate support services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve the learner experience and service delivery.
  • Represent the college at networking events, engaging with employers, community groups, and governors.
  • Support staff development by identifying training needs and contributing to training initiatives.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified to Level 3 with Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Experience coordinating the work of others in an educational or customer service setting.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, data analysis, and report generation.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong customer service abilities with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage own time effectively and work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, and Prevent Agenda.

Desirable:

  • Qualification in providing information and guidance (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Knowledge of referral agencies and support services for learners.
  • Experience in managing difficult situations and problem-solving effectively.
