Salary: MPS – UPS plus SEND Allowance

Now Education are urgently seeking Teachers of SEND to support a specialist school in Walsall.

Our Client is aspecialist setting in Walsall providing education to young people at EYFS through to Post 16 all of whom have a variety of SEND complexities.

We want to meet Teachers with positivity, unconditional positive regard, and a passion for the teaching and learning of those with complex Special Educational Needs.

We are seeking Teachers who:

  • Will work with optimism and positivity;
  • Are a passionate advocate for learners that require close support to meet their complex needs;
  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging, exciting and progressive learning activities;
  • Understand the link between assessment, planning and delivery of learning activities;
  • Can demonstrate success in practice as a teacher of those with SEND;
  • Are a true team player, and will be able to inspire class team members to support teaching delivery;
  • Have a passion for SEND education, inclusion and equality;

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Wide ranging SEND experience (Complex ASC/SLD)
  • Team Teach trained (in date)
  • Safeguarding qualifications (in date)
  • Training and experience in communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, ALBs, Communication in Print
