SEN Teaching Assistant

Now Education are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for primary schools in Nottingham who are passionate about working with children, particularly those with special needs. You will work in a welcoming community and a highly motivated, professional staff team that are driven towards continuously raising standards. Duties:
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans.
– Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD and dyslexia.
– Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
– Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
– Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians.
– Support students during individual or group activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
– Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities.
– Foster effective communication between the lead teacher, students, and parents/guardians.

Qualifications:
– CACHE Level 2/CACHE Level 3 or at least six months experience.

– Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or in a special education setting.
– Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and techniques for working with diverse learners.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the classroom environment.
