Now Education are supporting an outstanding Autism Special School based in Moseley with their recruitment drive due to expansion.

The school has grown rapidly over the past four years and following a recent review the Team has been expanded to enable wider support for students and parents/carers. Our client offers co-education for children and young people of the ages 3 to 19 years from all parts of the city, currently catering for 265 pupils all with a primary diagnosis of ASC.

The successful Teachers for this role will have experience and enthusiasm with SEND, particularly ASC. We are keen to hear from both Primary and Secondary trained Teachers as we have vacancies within their three sites:

  • Primary
  • Secondary
  • Post 16

School are open to hear from both full-time and part-time applicants for this post. For Teachers seeking flexible work opportunities; we also have daily supply requirements which we can fit around changing availability.

We require a candidate who

  • Is a qualified teacher
  • Experience of working in in a range of settings
  • Significant experience of working with children and young people with Special Needs, specifically ASC
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Understand the need for confidentiality
  • Be familiar with the unique processes, challenges and opportunities present in Birmingham
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to show sensitivity and objectivity in dealing with confidential issues
