Now Education are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants who hold experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
We are supporting two fantastic SEND Schools within the Wolverhampton area and they cater for both Primary and Secondary aged pupils with various additional needs including, severe and profound complex learning difficulties.
For this role we can either offer, flexible supply work or long-term and permanent opportunities.
Applicant requirements:
- Experience supporting Early Years, Primary, Secondary or Post 16 pupils.
- Experience with Special Educational needs
- Confident supporting toileting and personal care needs where required
- Confident de-escalating any associated behaviours
- Prior experience as a TA is desirable but not essential; due to the needs of the pupils this would also suit those who have worked in Children’s Residential Homes, Nurseries, Childcare settings, or supporting adults with Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties.
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- Wide ranging SEND experience (Complex ASC/SLD)
- Team Teach trained (in date)
- Safeguarding qualifications (in date)
- Training and experience in communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, ALBs, Communication in Print
