Part Time English Teacher – PRU

Manchester

Now Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based at Manchester College.

The PRU supports students who require alternative provision, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons tailored to students with diverse learning needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Complex and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Support students who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education, focusing on confidence-building and literacy development.
  • Work closely with pastoral staff, SEND teams, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that fosters personal growth and academic success.

About You

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Has experience teaching English, preferably within an alternative provision, PRU, or SEND setting.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to engage and inspire students with complex needs.
  • Is patient, resilient, and committed to making a difference in young people’s lives.
  • Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
