Health and Social Care Lecturer required at post 16 college in Leicester
Job Summary
Now Education are working with a client in Leicester who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health and Social Care Lecturer to join their academic team on a temporary basis until Jan 2026 (temp to perm opportunity could be available). The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Health and Social Care education and fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role requires a commitment to academic excellence and the ability to inspire and engage students in their studies.
As a post 16 environment this role offers a fantastic blend of academic teaching, with a relaced atmosphere. The college are supportive and the department is robust and filled with resources and support.
The successful candidate will be required to have experience delivering Health and Social care or similar subjects (such as PSHE).
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures and seminars in accordance with the curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and promote best practices in teaching.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
Skills
- A full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above or be willing to work towards obtaining one. If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain this as part of our investment in your professional development.
- A Degree Level qualification in a related subject and have a track record of delivering high quality teaching/training and be competent at assessing students’ work.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English.
