English Teacher

Sleaford

Now Education are looking for an English Teacher to work with a Secondary School in the Sleaford area. This roles is a full time role starting 1st September 2024.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to teach English Language, English Literature, and Media Studies up to A Level. Applicants should be passionate about teaching English, able to encourage and engage the students and demonstrate excellent classroom skills.

Applications are welcomed from experienced colleagues or ECT’s who will be achieving Qualified Teacher Status in summer 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, planning and teaching English across all key stages
  • Providing engaging and interactive teaching that caters to various learning styles and abilities
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring that students adhere to school rules and policies
  • Building rapport with students and establishing productive relationships with fellow staff members

Requirements:

  • QTS / QTLS / PGCE or other relevant teaching qualifications
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across different age groups
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in new environments and embrace varied teaching methods
  • Effective classroom management skills to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students
