We are seeking a creative Art Teacher to join an exceptional team on a temporary basis from 28th April until 11th July, at an independent school in North Leicestershire.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their artistic talents while developing their skills in various art forms. This role involves teaching students of different ages and abilities, fostering a love for art, and encouraging self-expression through creative projects.
Responsibilities
- To implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Teach various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
- Organise art exhibitions or showcases to display student work and celebrate their achievements.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into the broader curriculum.
- Maintain an organised classroom with all necessary materials readily available for students.
Requirements
- Art related degree.
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Previous teaching experience in an educational setting is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques and mediums.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- A passion for fostering creativity and encouraging artistic expression among students.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards teaching diverse groups of learners.
