We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our supply team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early childhood education, you must also hold a minimum of a level 2 qualification in childcare. You should have the ability to manage and communicate effectively with both children and parents. This role is essential in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development and well-being.
Working with our supply team you will have full flexibility on the hours and days that you work to fit in around you personal commitments.
Duties
- Provide high-quality care for the children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s progress and daily activities.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times and play sessions, ensuring a structured environment.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team atmosphere that supports the needs of all children.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- A minimum of a level 2 childcare qualification.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
