The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education to students aged 11-16.
You will play a key role in promoting a love for the humanities, developing critical thinking skills, and preparing students for their GCSE exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in History, Geography, and Religious Education.
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and academic excellence.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the National Curriculum and school policies.
- Engage with parents and carers to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A degree in History, Geography, Religious Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary school level, including GCSE and A-level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
